Volunteer with us!

Volunteer with BWI of Southeastern Washington
Our group is entirely run by volunteers – we can use help in many areas such as graphic design, outreach, and fundraising. We are currently looking for Volunteer Babywearing Educators (VBEs) and Chapter Support Volunteers (CSVs). VBEs are accredited through Babywearing International after being assessed for their knowledge of babywearing skills in all basic carriers (ring sling, pouch sling, wrap, soft structured carrier, and mei tai) as well as an understanding of safety and ideal positioning for both newborns and toddlers. VBEs attend meetings to help with babywearing instruction and may hold leadership positions within our local chapter. Chapter Support Volunteers (CSVs) are chapter volunteers who serve in a variety of capacities within local BWI chapters including (but not limited to) administrative roles or educators in training. All VBEs and CSVs will be voting members of BWI and covered by BWI insurance when serving as a volunteer for BWI of SE Washington. Dues are $30 annually, paid directly to BWI. All volunteers will be required to agree to a code of ethics and will be members of the Chapter Volunteer Forums on TheBabywearer.com and Facebook. If you are interested in becoming a VBE or CSV, please come to one of our meetings or contact us at sewashington@babywearinginternational.org.
